Özet

Bu çalışmada 1975-2006 dönemi için, Türkiye’deki elektrik tüketimi ve gayri safi yurt içi hasıla arasındaki uzun dönemli ilişki ile nedensellik ilişkisi ekonometrik modeller kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmada ilk olarak yapılan eş-bütünleşme analizi sonucunda, elektrik tüketimi ile gayri safi yurt içi hasıla arasında uzun dönemli ilişki bulunmuştur. Vektör hata düzeltme modeli doğrultusunda yapılan Granger nedensellik analizi sonucunda ise, elektrik tüketimi ile gayri safi yurt içi hasıla arasında tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisinin bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda, Türkiye’deki ekonomik büyüme sürecinde gayri safi yurt içi hasıla miktarının uzun vadede elektrik tüketimini pozitif yönde etkileyen önemli bir değişken olduğu ve bu nedenle de ekonomik büyüme sürecinde ortaya çıkabilecek aksaklıkları önlemek açısından da uzun dönemde elektrik enerjisi ve elektrik enerjisi üretiminde kullanılan birincil enerji kaynaklarının herhangi bir aksama olmadan zamanında temin edilmesinin, ekonomik üretim ve tüketim sürecinin istikrarı açısından önemli olduğu söylenebilir.

Abstract

In this study, long term relationship and causality relationship between electricity consumption and gross domestic product in Turkey for the period 1975-2006 were investigated. As a result of the co-integration analysis made firstly in this study, the long term relationship between the electricity consumption and gross domestic product was found. According to the result of Granger causality analysis made in accordance with vector error correction model, it was determined that there was unidirectional causality relationship between electricity consumption and gross domestic product. According to the findings, it can be said that in the process of economic growth in Turkey, gross domestic product amount was an important variable which affected the electricity consumption positively in the long term and therefore it can be said that it is important to provide the primary energy sources used in electricity energy production and electricity energy in the long term and in time without any interaction for preventing the failures which may arise during the process of economic growth and for the stability of the economic production and consumption process.

Abstract (Turkish)

Türkiye’de sermaye şirketleri veya kooperatiflerde, şirket aktiflerinin borçlarını karşılayamaması durumunda iflas kaçınılmazdır. Ancak 2004 yılında çıkarılan bir kanunla iflasın ertelenmesi mümkün hale gelmiştir. Buna göre iflasının ertelenmesini isteyen şirket, hukuki şartları yerine getirirken mahkemeye inandırıcı ve ciddi bir iyileştirme projesi de sunmak zorundadır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, iyileştirme projesinin bir işletmeci gözü ile nasıl ciddi ve inandırıcı olacağını tartışmaktır. İyileştirme projesi, borca batık bulunan ve iflası istenmiş şirketin bu durumdan nasıl kurtarılacağını öngören tedbirler içeren, objektif ve somut verilere dayanan bir mali projedir. İyileştirme projesinin genel olarak mali ve yönetsel tedbirleri içermesi gerekir. Mali tedbirler Şirketin borca batıklıktan çıkmasını yani bilançosunda aktifinin pasifini karşılar hale gelmesini sağlayacak, doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak para girişini öngören tedbirlerdir. Yeni ortak bulunması, ortakların şahsi mal varlıklarını satması veya şirketin yüksek kâr marjlı ürünlere yönelmesi gibi. Yönetsel tedbirler ise dolaylı olarak şirkete katkı sağlayacak olan ve şirketin iyileşmesini sağlayacak muhasebe, finansman veya insan kaynakları yönetimi ile ilgili tedbirlerdir. Yönetsel tedbirler şirketin iyileşmesini dolaylı olarak sağlayan tedbirlerdir. Bu kapsamda çalışmada söz konusu bu tedbirler ayrıntılı olarak açıklanmıştır.

Abstract (English)

It is inevitable for the capital companies and cooperatives in Turkey to go bankrupt in case the assets of the company are insufficient to meet the obligations. However, the law enacted in 2004 has enabled the bankruptcy to be postponed. The company requesting the adjournment of bankruptcy should not only fulfill the legal requirements but also present the court a convincing and serious improvement project. The main objective of this study is to discuss how to prepare such a plan from the point of view of business manager. The improvement project is a financial project based on objective and solid data which contains precautionary measures envisaged to rescue the company. In general the project should incorporate financial and administrative measures. Financial measures include direct and indirect cash inflows from sources like finding new partners, selling personal assets of existing partners and focusing on high profit margin products to ensure that the assets can cover the liabilities. The administrative measures in the field of accounting, finance and human resources contribute to the healing process indirectly. This paper explains the financial and administrative measures in detail.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is a crucial element for the success of all businesses. One of the biggest challenges for a market is how to satisfy and retain the customers. The purpose of this study is to find the level of satisfaction and loyalty among the users of cellular phones. This study is based on Mobilink’s prepaid customers. The findings suggest that overall customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is comparatively low among the customers of Mobilink. The Customer loyalty in Pakistan’s mobile sector is relatively low because it is an emerging industry, new players are entering in this market and customers are more fascinated to try the new service providers. However it is expected that when the industry will be well established, the results will be more comparable to other studies.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out what were the factors that may have played significant role to select the telecommunication service providers. In general this research has an intention to develop a research framework grounded on a strong theoretical and literature review background. The survey instruments employed on Bangladeshi consumers included demographic background, price, service quality, product quality and availability and promotional offers for consumer perception. Thus the structural equation modeling approach was necessary in order to examine the variables. The data analysis was conducted using SPSS and AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structure) with the software package for windows. From the result it is revealed that paths are related to the casual processes significantly. Among all the significant variables, from our result, Price is the most important among our respondents followed by Service quality, product quality and promotion. Further research should be considered to gather more information regarding the service quality and customers’ satisfaction dimensions in context of the Bangladeshi mobile phone operators. It is hoped that the findings of this study may assist mobile phone industry in Bangladesh about their services and promotion of their services. However, the findings of this study may provide needed feedback and contribute to the improvement of players’ strategy and their marketing program.

Abstract

Being primarily responsible of conducting logistical and emotional work of child-rearing, mothers have agency in formation of the child’s future identity, cultural values and dispositions, and serve as role models, sources of social pressure, and interpersonal support. This article aims to discover discourses of motherhood of Turkish mothers, especially educated and middle class, who have children dependent on their consumption decisions and how their discourses figure in their consumption practices of products, such as food and clothing, which they buy on behalf of their children. Discursive and consumption practices of Turkish mothers who are participating in selected virtual communities are analyzed by means of qualitative research methods. Main discourses that can be observed in their told consumption practices appeared to be the “good mothering” and “motherhood as personal achievement”. Backgrounding and absent discourses are also discussed.

Özet

Aile içinde çocuk bakımından lojistik ve duygusal açıdan öncelikli sorumlu olarak görülen anneler, çocuklarının gelecekteki kimliklerinin ve kültürel değerleri ve eğilimlerinin oluşumunda eylemliliğe (agency) sahiptirler. Aynı zamanda rol model olmanın yanında, sosyal baskı kaynağı ve kişisel destek olarak da rol oynayabilmektedirler. Bu çalışmanın amacı özellikle eğitimli, orta sosyal sınıfa mensup ve kendi tüketim kararlarına bağımlı çocu(ğu)kları olan Türk annelerin annelik söylemlerini araştırmak ve bu söylemlerin gıda ve giyim gibi ürünlerin tüketim pratiklerinde nasıl ortaya çıktığını araştırmaktır. Sanal topluluklarda katılımcı olan annelerin söylemsel ve tüketime ilişkin pratikleri kalitatif araştırma teknikleri kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Tüketim pratiklerinde ortaya çıkan temel söylemler “iyi annelik” ve “kişisel başarı olarak annelik”’tir. Altta yatan ve eksik söylemler de ayrıca tartışılmıştır.

Abstract (Turkish)

Kalite, rekabet avantajı elde etmek için gerekli temel faktörlerden biridir. Altı sigma yaklaşımı kaliteyi iyileştirmek amacıyla son yıllarda kullanımı giderek artan bir işletme stratejisidir. Bir üretim firması tarafından geliştirilmesine ve birçok üretim işletmesinde başarıyla uygulanmasına karşın, hizmet hizmetleri maliyetleri düşürmek, hizmet kalitesini iyileştirmek, müşteri memnuniyetini ve karlılığı artırmak için altı sigmayı kullanmaya başlamışlardır. Bu çalışmada, altı sigma yaklaşımı, finans sektörü açısından ele alınmış ve finans sektöründeki altı sigma uygulamaları değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract (English)

Quality is a one of the critical factors for achieving competitive advantage. Six sigma approach is a business strategy which usage has increased gradually in last years for quality improvement initiative. Although six sigma established by a manufacturing firm and it has been successfully implemented in many manufacturing firms, service firms have began to use six sigma for reducing cost, enhanced quality of service, increasing customer satisfaction and profitability. In this paper, six sigma was examined in terms of finance sector and applications of six sigma within the finance sector were evaluated.
